In the ceremony of launching the second phase of National Information Network, MCI achievements were unveiled.
According to communication head office of Iran Mobile Communication Company, the second phase of National Information Network was launched on Monday February 6, 2017 and achievements of MCI as one of the main players in the Network were unveiled in the adjoining exhibition. Many authorities attended in this ceremony including Dr. Vaezi, minister of ICT, Dr. FiroozAbadi, the secretary of Supreme Council of Cyber Space, Mr. Jahangard, CEO of Information Technology Company, Dr. Amidian head of CRA, Mr. Jahromi, CEO of TIC, as well as CEOs of mobile operators, managers from public organizations and private sector, and several parliament members.
In this ceremony, Mr. Vahid Sadooghi, MCI CEO unveiled achievements of the company in the second phase of National Information Network in the presence of the Minister of ICT.
In addition to the projects related to the first phase of the Network, Appido multimedia system, including a wide, valuable, exclusive set of entertainment and educational content, and FILMA mobile TV application were introduced.
In this event, WiFi Aval Network in Mashhad and Shiraz was officially launched via video conference. Through finalizing 11 projects, 318 access points in Mashhad (especially near the holy shrine of Imam Reza) and 6 access point in Shiraz (malls, and educational, religious and tourist places) were rolled out.
“It is a great achievement, not only for ICT ministry, but Iranian telecom community” said Dr. Vaezi, referring to the second phase of National Information network.
Dr. Vaezi introduced theme of the second phase of national information network as “diverse services, successful businesses”. “People have found out that the National Information Network does not impose a restriction on their access, but enables them to enjoy more diverse services with higher quality. It also contributes to employment and businesses.”
